Future Flower Girl

Lily and I had lots of fun shopping for a Flower Girl dress today. It's for Uncle Nick and Aunt Sarah's wedding...which is coming up in just a couple of weeks. Most of the dresses were white, lacey, and covered with pearls - somewhat resembeling miniature wedding dresses. And let's face it, as soon as the ceremony is over, the beautiful dress that we did find is going to be grass stained, dirty from the garden, and covered with dinner. We ended up with black and white...which happens to be my favorite, so ultimately hers too. I think she likes it though, she wanted to wear it as soon as we got home and it was a struggle to convince her to take it off (although most things are a struggle with a 2 year old). She also asked the dogs to "please not eat my dress, it's for uncle Nicks wedding". I think she looks beautiful, and she will make a great flower girl...I hope!
Let's just hope she keeps it on during the wedding.

Dear Fran,
I love it!! I, too, will have dinner all over my white dress on the wedding day, so it's good to know Lily will not leave me alone in that. It's a beautiful dress, and she's a beautiful kid.
PS: I tried to post to your blog awhile ago, but it was the first time I've ever "blogged", and technology is not one of my strengths...so after carefully crafting a brilliant posting, when I tried to post it, I somehow deleted it. Anyway, hopefully this works and I will be a regular blogger in the future. If not, I'll see you soon and talk to you in person instead.
