Teddies and Tea Parties

I was also able to spend time with Stacy - which is unusual these days! We shared a bowl (a big bowl) of coconut gelato, which was perfect as the conditions outside were such that anything, or anyone was in grave danger of spontaneous combustion.
Saturday was followed by a Bridal Tea on Sunday afternoon hosted by Nancy and Ruth. We were served heart shaped cucumber sandwiches, lemon scones with fresh lemon curd, and many other tasty morsels.
The most remarkable thing about this whole wonderful weekend, was that Lily was not with me. Andy had decided earlier in the week that he would stay home with Lily while I went to Portland...alone. At first this sounded OK, and then the panic set in. What would they do all day? Would they eat? Would Lily remember me when I came home (one day later mind you)? Turns out they went to parks, visited the beach, ate 3 or more meals a day, and Lily was happy as a clam. Seems that the only photos Andy took were of this sea turtle carcass. Nice.
The best part? The smile, hug, and kiss that I got from her when I finally got home. All in all I would say that the whole Wheeler family had a pretty great time. Let's do it again next weekend...
P.S. Andy is pretty certain that the apocalypse is just around the corner, so any future posts regarding bunkers and living at Bi-Mart were not written by me.
