Beer and Bowling

On Saturday night the best friends and I went out to Block 15 (a newish brewery/restaurant in Corvallis) to celebrate a couple of Birthdays and spend a fun evening out. Their brews are pretty good, and there is quite a selection to choose from. Stacie and I of course had the fish and chips. It was a good sized group - Stacie, Wally, Heather, Stacy, Troy, Andy and I. Enough people for it to feel like a party, and not too many that conversations couldn't be heard. By the time dinner was over, and we were all feeling like we were 21 again, we decided to go bowling. Who knew that you could fit 7 people into the PT Cruiser? Andy, being the good sport that he is, was our chauffeur for the night.

Bowling was a blast - but this is where I feel I owe a little explanation for the previous post. Jello Shots. So we walk into the bowling alley where there is a glorious handwritten sign reading "jello shots $1". It started out innocently enough. One each. I picked orange. Before I knew it the jello shots were multiplying. More just kept appearing and disappearing like some sort of voodoo magic. I don't think this is what Bill Cosby had in mind for jello. Anyway, my bowling score improved dramatically from my first game to the second...It's a phenomenon.

I turned back into a somewhat resposible adult on Sunday.

None of this would have been possible without Nick and Jenny ~ our star babysitters for the night. We were very lucky that they agreed to help us out. Now we just have to trick them into coming back!
