It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas
I Love Christmas. Love it I say! The preparation, the joy of giving (and let's be honest, who doesn't love a little receiving?), the tree, the lights, the wrapping, the Christmas anthems ruling the radio...which brings me back to the point. I have to say, it's too early for Christmas music to be jingle belling it's way across the airwaves.
It's November 20th folks. It's a week before Thanksgiving, and the songs have been a playin' for 2 weeks already. Yesterday I thought to myself, "who wants to decorate for Christmas in the middle of November? Aren't the poor trees going to turn brown and lose all their needles before Santa has a chance to shimmy down the chimney?" Then I saw the neighbors tree. Fully ablaze in twinkly lights, shiny ornaments, complete with the angel impaled on the top. "Guess it's not too early" I thought.
I can tell you one thing though, I will be belting out "Santa Baby" (with Eartha Kitt and Madonna) before the month is out...November 26th seems ok to me.
